Every filament colour reflects light differently — some are bright and glossy, others deep, dark or matte. So that each colour looks true to life, we adjust the exposure individually on every single product photo until the filament on your screen matches what the physical product actually looks like by eye.

A side effect of matching each colour this way is that the plain background behind the spool can look slightly lighter or darker from one photo to the next. That variation is in the background, not the filament — we're deliberately prioritising an accurate representation of the colour over making every background identical.
