Material info
Properties:
• Optical Clarity: Good — true transparency with the right settings
• Strength: High — same as standard PETG
• Heat Resistance: Good — up to ~80°C
• UV Resistance: Good
• Chemical Resistance: Excellent
• Layer Adhesion: Very strong
• Surface Finish: Smooth and clear
Best for:
• Light diffusers and lampshades
• Display cases and protective covers
• Bottles, vases, and translucent containers
• Light pipes and decorative lighting
Not ideal for:
• Fully opaque structural parts (use standard PETG)
• Maximum-clarity optical components (cast acrylic still wins)
Print settings
| Nozzle temperature | 240-250°C (higher = clearer) |
|---|---|
| Bed temperature | 75-85°C |
| Print speed | 30-40 mm/s |
| Cooling fan | 20-40% (less cooling = clearer) |
| Retraction | 3-4mm @ 30mm/s |
| Flow rate | 100-105% (slight over-extrusion fills layer gaps) |
| Layer height | 0.20-0.28mm |
For maximum clarity: hotter nozzle, slower speeds, less cooling, fewer perimeters (1-2), 0% infill, and slightly higher flow. The fewer layer boundaries, the clearer the print.
