Material info
Properties:
• Strength: High — significantly tougher than standard PLA
• Flexibility: Moderate — bends slightly before breaking
• Impact Resistance: Good — much better than standard PLA
• Heat Resistance: Improved — softens around 65-70°C
• Layer Adhesion: Excellent
• Surface Finish: Very good — slight gloss
• Odour: Very low
Best for:
• Functional parts that need to survive real use
• Tools, jigs, and fixtures
• Drone and RC components
• Brackets, mounts, and housings
• Anywhere you'd reach for PETG but want PLA's print ease
Not ideal for:
• High-temperature environments (still softens around 70°C)
• Outdoor parts in direct sunlight (UV resistance is still poor)
Print settings
| Nozzle temperature | 210-230°C |
|---|---|
| Bed temperature | 55-65°C |
| Print speed | 50-60 mm/s |
| Cooling fan | 100% from layer 2 |
| Retraction | Same as standard PLA |
| Flow rate | 100% |
| Layer height | 0.16-0.28mm |
Slightly higher nozzle temps give the best layer adhesion and impact strength. Otherwise prints almost identically to standard PLA.
